About John Hopkins

With nearly 20 years experience in Financial Services, IT, Fin-Tech, Big 4, Global Banks, Credit Unions, and Consulting, I would love to help you in your job search.

I started delivering news papers at age 11. For 7 years I got up every morning before sunrise to deliver news papers. I don’t think they have paperboys anymore, but I had the bike, the big basket, and hideous paper satchels around my neck - the whole getup. After high school I graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton) with a degree in Cinema. A few years later I obtained my MBA, which helped me land my first Analyst role at KeyBank in Albany, NY. From there I moved on to become a Financial Analyst at Balance Sheet Solutions in Albany, NY as well. I ran Asset-Liability Management / Interest Rate Risk models for corporate Credit Union clients.

I then took my talents to South Beach…well, Stuart, Florida - just a 2 hour drive up I-95 from Miami. I was a Senior Financial Analyst for Seacoast Bank, doing much of the same work with IRR and ALM and producing the ALCO (Asset Liability Committee) reporting for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. From there I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where I was a Business Continuity Consultant for Bank of America.

After B of A, I was recruited by State Street Corporation in Boston, MA. Since then I have worked for a number of financial institutions in the greater Boston area, including Santander (3 separate consulting engagements as Project Manager), Workers Credit Union (2 consulting engagements as Business Analyst for their core conversion), Wells Fargo, and Needham Bank.

My most recent consulting role was for a Big 4 accounting firm as a Business Analyst on the Global Zero Trust Program at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Now I’m ready to use my years of experience to help YOU find success in your job search. 50% off all bookings made before Jan 1, 2026!!
